Across the network we have access to state-of-the-art facilities for research in cognitive neuroscience, including:
MRI. There are 7T (Magdeburg, Oxford) and 3T (all academic sites) MR scanning facilities with extensive image-analysis support.
MEG. There is access to MEG facilities for detailed temporal as well as spatial analysis of brain activity (Oxford).
EEG. There are high-resolution EEG facilities at all sites.
TMS and TCS. There are facilities for direct brain stimulation (trans-cranial magnetic stimulation and trans-cranial current stimulation) at all academic sites.
Patient populations. There is access to large populations of appropriate participants including individuals showing normal healthy aging, stroke patients, patients with neuro-degenerative diseases (Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s) and individuals with ADHD.
